Why Reno exists
Reno was born inside a migrant family, when their 7-year-old son had to begin a medical journey no one expects. From the very first days — even before a diagnosis — they needed to see every exam, every appointment, and every step with order and clarity.
They live far from their home country; day to day it's just dad, mom, and son. In a moment like that, support becomes essential, and not only financial: organizing the information gave them back a little peace and helped them stay strong for him.
Out of that need came a tool that brings the essentials together: information at hand, easy to consult, with manageable access for the people who matter most — family abroad, friends, trusted people, and the care team.
Reno started with that boy and his family, and today it's designed to support any family that needs it.

Keeping the platform running — infrastructure, security, and development — also takes support: contributions to Reno help sustain it and help it grow, and they are independent from donations to families.

For now, Reno is developed and sustained by its author, and contributions to the platform are received transparently in his name. If the project advances, the corresponding commercial registration will be done and everything kept as legally appropriate.

Does Reno give medical advice?
No. Reno organizes and visualizes the information the family enters. It does not diagnose, calculate doses, or replace your medical team.
How is the data protected?
With encryption in transit (TLS), private storage, and access restricted per family. Nothing is public without authorization, and doctors' contact details are never public.
Who can see the information?
Only the people the family authorizes, each with their access level: caregivers, family members, and limited readers.
